CAHCF/CCAL 90th Annual Meeting
Date: Tuesday, July 30th, 2019
Time: 9:09 pm
The 90th Connecticut Association of Healthcare Facilities and Connecticut Center for Assisted Living Meeting was held on Thursday, July 11, 2019. We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather while we celebrated our exceptional leaders. Ryders Health Management was one of the honored recipients of an award.
The Legislative Advocacy Award was presented to Martin Sbriglio, CEO, who accepted the awards on behalf of Ryders Health.
This award recognizes the tireless efforts Martin Sbriglio and his staff have made to educate and inform legislators about the issues and challenges facing the healthcare industry and skilled nursing facilities. This advocacy work is of great value to legislators, enabling them to make more informed policy decisions and craft legislation that are in the best interest of patient care.
In addition to this recognition, three Ryders Health facility employees were recipients of the Vera Arterburn Memorial Scholarship.
The Vera Arterburn Memorial Scholarship Fund started in 1987 following the passing of the renowned Vera P. Arterburn. The fund is comprised of “charitable donations made by CAHCF Members to award nursing educational scholarships to deserving applicants who qualify as employees of CAHCF Member institutions and who wish to advance their long-term-care provider education.”
Vera Arterburn Memorial Scholarship Awards were presented to:
• Ms. Antoinette Gdovin, Lord Chamberlain
• Ms. Ekaetta Nta, Aaron Manor
• Mr. Christopher West, Greentree Manor
Be sure to congratulate Antoinette, Ekaetta, and Christopher on their achievement.
